Delivering the future in action: Nova Post has launched Europe's largest network of parcel lockers

Nova Post has launched Europe's largest network of parcel lockers, with over 28,600 locations across Ukraine. This is the largest number of automated delivery points within a single country on the continent. In 2024 alone, the company installed 8,410 new devices, half of which are located in residential complexes and shopping centres.
The out-of-home delivery format — i.e., not to the customer's home, but to a convenient location where the customer picks up the parcel themselves — is gaining popularity as an effective alternative to the traditional courier model. Today, 10% of all the company's shipments go through parcel lockers, and in three years, this figure has grown from 9.5 to 46 million. In 2025, Nova Post plans to increase the volume of such deliveries to 75 million.
One parcel locker costs several times less than a traditional post office. This allows the network to be scaled quickly, even in small towns, without the need to hire staff. It also allows devices to be installed where it is impossible to open a post office due to the security situation, such as in frontline communities or mountain villages. For local residents, this is often the only delivery channel.
«We are building an ecosystem of parcel lockers that are always nearby — for sending, receiving or temporary storage. In Europe, there are already parcel lockers with cooling chambers, charging stations, recycling points and bank card issuance. We also want our parcel lockers to become a daily service point in the future, with access to e-commerce, financial services and local services. The first business to implement this will not only gain customers, but also a new role in the city,»
— comments Artur Kudelin, Director of the Parcel Locker Department at Nova Post.
During the year, the company introduced new features and services for users:
- Installed 4,000 parcel lockers with solar panels (30% of the network) so that parcels can be received and sent even when there is no electricity. By the end of the year, there will be 9,000 such parcel lockers.
- Opened the first mega-postal machine No. 77777 on the left bank of Kyiv — a nine-metre-high machine with 188 compartments so that more customers can receive the service close to home.
- Launched the ‘Luggage Storage’ service for convenient temporary storage or transfer of items.
- Expanded the network with 200 customised parcel lockers with local phrases, images and meanings to make them part of the urban space and everyday life of city dwellers.
- Opened parcel lockers for partner use: the ‘Transfer Point’ service turns them into parcel transfer points — no queues, no operator, 24/7.
- Started installing parcel lockers in new types of locations – educational institutions, hospitals, dormitories, hotels.
- Testing specialised solutions such as parcel lockers for ski equipment.
