Nova Poshta is informing customers about new requirements for preparing shipments to the U.S.
Effective July 8, 2026, U.S. customs authorities will change the procedures for clearing certain categories of goods imported into the country. The new requirements do not apply to noncommercial shipments from private individuals, such as personal or used items.
From now on, for certain regulated products—including specific children’s goods—it is mandatory to submit the Certificate of Compliance (CoC) electronically during customs clearance. If the certificate is not submitted along with the customs declaration, the shipment may be detained by U.S. Customs, returned to the sender, or require additional processing.
If you regularly sell goods to the U.S., we recommend that you:
- check whether the new requirements apply to your products;
- prepare certificates of conformity for goods that require them.
To avoid delays during customs clearance, we recommend that you check in advance whether your goods are subject to the new requirements and prepare the necessary Certificates of Conformity (CoC). This will help you avoid having your shipment returned or incurring additional costs to reprocess it.
If you have any questions about shipping, please contact your personal account manager or Nova Poshta's customer support.
