Komyshuvakha. Zaporizhzhia Oblast
For almost two years, the Nova Post partner branch in Komyshuvakha, opened by father and son Mykola and Kyrylo Hrabky, has been a mainstay and vital logistics hub in this frontline community. Around 100 visitors came to the branch every day to collect medicines, food and humanitarian aid. In March alone, 10,000 parcels were sent and received here.
Furthermore, during prolonged power cuts caused by regular enemy attacks, the branch became a place where residents could recharge their devices, stay in touch with their families and even do their homework.
The Nova Post branch in Komyshuvakha was staffed by partner Kirill Grabko (24) himself and seven of our employees: branch manager Oleksandr (24), operators Vasyl (33), Vadym (19) and Svitlana (38), loaders Denys (27) and Oleksandr (38), and driver Yuriy (45). All of them are residents of frontline Zaporizhzhia: from Komyshuvakha itself and from nearby villages destroyed by the Russians.
We held off on this decision for as long as possible, but unfortunately, security conditions no longer allow our colleagues to work in this settlement. Heavy shelling, FPV drones and proximity to the front line pose a daily threat. As of today, 24 April, the branch in Komyshuvakha is ceasing operations.
However, Mykola and Kirill are continuing their collaboration with Nova Post and are already preparing to open a branch in one of the neighbouring settlements, where the whole team will join the work. There are currently nine branches operating in the Zaporizhzhia region, with plans to open three more.
We would like to thank our partners Mykola and Kirill Grabko, regional manager Denys Zherebny, and the entire Nova Post team for their courage, resilience and dedication to their work. Special thanks go to the Ukrainian Defence Forces, who are holding the Zaporizhzhia front.
Nova Poshta will definitely return as soon as it becomes possible.
