Nova Post and Come Back Alive raised UAH 300 million to strengthen air defense

Nova Post and the Come Back Alive Foundation, a trusted military aid fund, have successfully raised UAH 309 million for electronic warfare (EW), electronic intelligence (ELINT), and FPV drones to bolster Ukraine’s air defenders in the joint project “Let's Ground the Enemy”.
The fundraising campaign ran from September 30 to April 30. For seven months, donors could contribute to the needs of Ukraine's Air Force, with Nova Post doubling each donation to meet the target.
«This is our second joint project with the Come Back Alive Foundation for air defense. We were worried whether we'd raise the necessary funds in time, given the growing fatigue in society. But those concerns proved unfounded. The final UAH 47 million came from our Norwegian friends — the NGO Fritt Ukraina. But Ukrainians were so quick to donate that while the transfer was being processed, they added another 9 million. In the end, we have 309 million to strengthen our air defense,»
— said Olena Plakhova, Nova Post's Chief Reputation Officer.
The funds will be spent on modern equipment for mobile EW and ELINT units under the "East" and "South" Air Commands.
Specifically, they will acquire:
- FPV anti-air drones and components to destroy enemy reconnaissance UAVs like the Supercam, ZALA, and Orlan-10. This is a cheaper and more effective solution than using surface-to-air missile systems.
- Transport vehicles to enhance the mobility of Air Force units, as well as EW and ELINT specialists.
- Secure communication systems: mobile command posts and backpacks for mobile fire teams, ensuring autonomous operations.
- EW/ELINT systems that, on one hand, intercept and analyze enemy signals, and on the other, disorient the enemy and suppress their satellite and mobile communications.
All solutions (except for the pickup trucks) are Ukrainian-made and designed to meet the real combat needs of the Air Force.
EW systems seamlessly integrate into Ukraine’s air defense network, operating on an IoT (Internet of Things) concept and adapting to various conditions and deployment scenarios. Thanks to several communication channels and independence from satellite networks, the equipment remains reliable even in the most challenging field conditions.
«We're implementing a comprehensive solution to strengthen air defense: from EW and ELINT systems to FPV drones, vehicles, and secure communications. This will disrupt the enemy’s operations and degrade their communications. That’s why this project is an effective countermeasure against the enemy and a means of protecting those defending our skies every day,»
— said Oleh Karpenko, Deputy Director of the Come Back Alive Foundation.
A critical component is personnel training and cross-unit knowledge sharing. Mobile EW/ELINT teams have been created from scratch and undergo specialized training. They will detect and neutralize enemy drones, including those targeting Patriot battalions, further strengthening air defense units’ protection.
Nova Post, in partnership with the Foundation, has already delivered two batches of equipment to the military, and efforts to enhance air defense capabilities continue.
