Nova Post is investing over 6 million crowns in the development of its own logistics ecosystem in the Czech Republic
Currently, the Nova Post network in the Czech Republic comprises 22 branches in 15 cities and over 6,500 partner collection points across the country. A key milestone in its development was the opening of its own customs warehouse, which effectively operates as a regional logistics hub.
Today, Nova Post in the Czech Republic handles customs clearance independently, operating round the clock, whilst most local brokers work on an 8/5 schedule. This project was implemented in a year and a half — from obtaining the licence to the full automation of processes via specialised software.
In addition, Nova Post continues to expand the availability of its service by connecting to another network of parcel lockers — OX Box — which has given customers access to over 570 new parcel lockers across the country. In total, customers now have access to delivery to over 3,500 ALZA Box, GLS and OX Box parcel lockers.
“We are seeing rapid growth in demand for international logistics and a high level of trust, as evidenced by the year-on-year increase in shipment volumes. That is why we have started working with the Czech branch of UPS and now deliver to a further 187 countries and regions worldwide. The next stage is even deeper integration into the local infrastructure: by the end of the year, we plan to open 30 new branches and launch a further 2,500 service points,” comments Andriy Artemenko, CEO of Nova Post in the Czech Republic.
The Czech Republic remains a strategic market for Nova Post in Europe. This year, the company plans to invest over 6 million Czech koruna in piloting new services, such as seven-day-a-week delivery, a guaranteed next-day service, collection of parcels within an hour, as well as the delivery and collection of oversized parcels.
