Nova Poshta is expanding its network of self-service branches
Nova Poshta continues to expand its network of high-tech branches where customers can pick up their packages on their own—without waiting in line or speaking to a clerk. There are currently four self-service branches operating in Ukraine: in Kyiv, Irpin, and Vinnytsia.
The new format lets you pick up your package in just a few simple steps: simply scan the barcode in the Nova Poshta mobile app, pay for delivery if necessary, and pick up the package yourself. This reduces the time customers spend at the branch by 30% and makes the pickup process even more convenient.
Already today, at Nova Poshta’s service locations, customers pick up one out of every three packages without the assistance of a clerk, and in Irpin, this figure reaches 44% of the total number of pickups.
Before opening a new self-service branch, Nova Poshta carefully evaluates the location based on several strict criteria:
- Feasibility of implementation — the branch must handle at least 16,000 packages per month;
- Technical requirements — the space must be completely open, with no blind spots or partitions, and 100% visible to video surveillance cameras for security and customer support;
- Target audience — a high level of digital adoption and active use of the company’s mobile app. After all, this format is most actively used by young people who are accustomed to digital services and prefer autonomy.
“Nova Poshta’s total investment in the development of its self-service network amounts to 30.5 million UAH. By the end of 2026, we plan to open eleven more such branches in various cities across Ukraine. After all, this format is part of Nova Poshta’s strategy to develop digital services and automate the customer experience,” notes Viktoria Tkachova, director of Nova Poshta’s national network department.
Nova Poshta is also developing other self-service formats, as contactless delivery is rapidly becoming a global trend. In addition to Europe’s largest network of parcel lockers (over 38,000 units), 334 self-service terminals are now operational in 285 branches, helping to reduce the workload on staff and improve customer service.
