Nova Post closes its branch in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region

Today, 9 May, we are forced to close our branch No. 2, the last one that continued to operate in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region.
There were four Nova Post branches in the district centre. Since February, when special access restrictions were introduced in the city for security reasons, we evacuated two of them to other settlements in Donetsk region, while two others, branches No. 2 and No. 7, remained in the city.
Until now, branch No. 2 has been operating as a point of resilience: every day from 11:00 to 15:00 (during the hours permitted by the curfew), locals came here to charge their mobile phones, contact their relatives via StarLink, warm up, cook food, withdraw cash and simply hug each other.
This was made possible by two of our brave colleagues — Kateryna (32), head of the second branch, and Diana (18), an operator. Despite heavy Russian shelling with guided bombs (KABs), artillery and FPV drones, Diana and Kateryna stayed because they wanted to help their people.
Meanwhile, our specialists from branch No. 7, Igor (27), Larisa (36), Denis (35) and Valeria (20), were waiting in Kostiantynivka for work to resume, but unfortunately, the security situation did not allow this to happen.
Our team thanks our colleagues for their dedication and stance!
Nova Post will return to its customers in Kostiantynivka as soon as possible.
