Nova Post has entered the Canadian market
This marks the 18th country where the Nova Post international network operates. From now on, customers can quickly send and receive documents and packages weighing up to 30 kg between Ukraine and Canada, while Ukrainian businesses can more easily enter the Canadian market and expand their export reach.
Customers can arrange an international shipment from Canada online via the Nova Post website or mobile app and drop off their package at the nearest of 1,100 partner UPS stores or with a courier. Delivery time between Canada and Ukraine is 5 days or more.
The shipping cost from Canada to Ukraine is:
- Documents and packages up to 1 kg — CAD 37;
- Packages up to 2 kg — CAD 47;
- Packages up to 10 kg — CAD 99;
- Packages up to 30 kg — CAD 215.
“Canada, like all of North America, is one of the key markets for Nova Post’s international expansion. Thanks to the large Ukrainian diaspora and high demand for international shipping, we have already processed over 3,000 shipments, most of which consisted of goods from Ukrainian manufacturers. The next step is to expand our network, introduce a franchise model, launch new products, and speed up delivery times,” said Oleksiy Taranenko, CBDO of the NOVA Group of Companies.
One of the key advantages of this new service is the ability to ship goods from Ukraine to Canada without paying import duties. This has been made possible by the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA). For most shipments, only the harmonized sales tax (HST) applies, which the sender can pay when arranging the shipment; for packages valued at up to 20 Canadian dollars (625 UAH), no tax is charged at all.
